Ryan & Katie's wedding

We officially welcomed Katie to the Smith family in Manhattan this weekend! Following the rehearsal dinner at the alumni center on campus, Jake headed back to the hotel with grandpa Steve and grandma Sharon while Kris and I went to Aggieville with the wedding party and friends. Good times! Kris spent most of Saturday with the groomsmen while Jake and I rested up.

As Katie walked down the aisle with her parents, Jake clapped to show his excitement. His timing was perfect! He had seen enough, though, and was rescued by aunt Barb. The two of them walked and played in the back of the theatre during the rest of the ceremony.
Grandma Sharon bought Jake
a tux to wear to the wedding.
Little did we know that someone had switched the pants on the hanger. While the shirt, vest and tie were size 9 months, the pants were size 12 months! Jake literally crawled out of his pants several times during the evening. During the reception, we switched to his John Deere onesie so he could comfortably play and dance. Jake was a trooper, taking several power naps during the night and rallying for a dance here-and-there.

It was certainly a memorable night for everyone. We thank Ryan and Katie for including us in their special day and look forward to forming many more memories with them!
